This is the first track from the just-released Spin Doctors CD "If the River was Whiskey". This was the first live performance, in Edinburgh's HMV Picture House. They had the CD for sale aswell. I got a copy. Sorry about the lousy sound, also the auto-focus went nuts at one point - sorry Chris!! :-D

Total fun by drumming
So .. I'm sold !! will always remember, , you guys did this Fredensbog, Danmark.. Drunk. ..as skunks, crawled out.. sound disapppeared ....and Iain "kept on going" , saved the concert - accapello - drums til Callum og Malcolm, funniest show <3
So great ! And so underrated ! Love from Germany
Young Brian with that muckle drum, surveying all around himself as he thumps it with vigour! If I'd had a lad all those years ago, he'd have been my choice of a well turned out musician. And the other boys, well what can an old West Highlander say....................wow! Sheer bloody brilliant! I met Rory walking the Monk's Road in the Pentland hills in the late 1980's! We all passed the time of day discussing the weather and general chit-chat. As we left, my husband said,"Do you know who that was?" I was an ardent Run-rig fan, and replied, "Yes, it was Rory MacDonald from the band", to which he said, you never even thanked him for the hours of pleasure that Run-rig gives you? I said that the poor man had to have people treat him with respect on his time spent with his family, and it would have been bad manners if I had prattled on and embarassed him, duting a day out happily enjoying the world! ............................old Tich. Thanks Run-rig!
sad as i am , i follow the musik of runrig since 1989 , and i was happy to hear it
I was there! Never seen or listened to runrig before then and absolutely loved it. Every single person in that tent was singing every word. One of my very favourite gigs ever, just for the audience.
I see Brian Hurren paid attention in Ronnie's Samba drum classes at Perth College!
Runrig forever. 👍❤️
As the mighty RunRig bring their 45 year career to an end, their end marks an era of a very changed modern Scotland to the one they started with. And those changes are by far for the worse in my view. In fact the values of the SNP are unrecognisable to the Scotland that developed the best literature, education, engineering, philosophy, ethics and highly distinctive entrepreneurs in the world. That Scotland is over now I fear.
2019 @ beyond 🏴 forever 🏴🐀
I already miss them ...
GREAT SONG..JUST ANNOYING TO SEE THAT CAMERA GOING BACK AND FORTH...AND THAT OTHER IDIOT PHOTOGRAPHER STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA...
Just take my breath away....

Quest'oggi, in occasione della festività di San Celestino 2018, mi capita di cercare questi vecchi video. Dopo tanto tempo, stessi bersaglieri attraversano le vie del nostro paese e diventano ogni anno più nobili!
Saverio Magnatta salve Valerio. In che senso diventano sempre più nobili?
We went last year.beautiful place.cant get a brew or a sarnie anywhere though
Thank you RUNRIG for the music and all the good times over the years. Tears in my eyes and my heart is bleeding. All the best to you and your family. Thank you
What a memory! I have been a fan for 35 years, and loved every single album, ever single song. I once flew in from Shanghai to the concert in Nottingham and flew back home the same night, because I had a project to lead the following Monday morning. I came as a stranger, and left with many new friends. This last weekend I came in from Austria, where I am living now. It fills my heart with sadness that Runrig will be no more, but the fond memories of years past, plus all the records, videos and CDs I have at home will help me to continue entertaining my neighbors with my helpless singing attempts under the shower ;-) All the best to the guys - and to all my fellow Runrig fans around the globe: I am proud to be part of that global family!!
Such a shame my parents have followed them since 1970s from the start. I’m so glad they decided to do their last concert behind Stirling castle, in Stirling my birthplace. I was at their concert on the 18th August 2018, my first and my last with my sister, brother inlaw and parents. Can I just say the concert was massive. 25,000 people or more in one field. Julie Fowlis along side Runrig was amazing, Iv became a Julie Fowis Fan now as she has one of the most magical voices Iv ever heard of, her talent to sing so fast in Gaelic is incredible, mind blowing. Runrig And Julie have made me even more proud to be Scottish, And I was happy to wear my pride of Scotland kilt and sporran and Runrig tshirt And Scottish flag last week. Runrigs music will live forever !!!! Farewell guys
The most emotionally brilliant farewell on Saturday. Thank you for all those years Runrig
I have seen them for the first time and the last time this weekend I am gutted but “we will never meet again” 🏴🏴🏴
I only got into Runrig about 5 months ago, thanks to RUclips. Now I’ve lost them but there’s so much great music of theirs to discover and enjoy. RIP Runrig, you’ll be sorely missed.
guess they have done their time ,still so sad to hear there will be no more from them go ciuin agus go tlaith:
The concert was amazing last night. We visited from Switzerland (having been fans since the late 80s). What I really hope someone has is a recording of the audience during the fireworks. Everyone sang "Hearts of Olden Glory" to an empty stage for 20 minutes and wept out our thank you to a band whose music touched so many nations and people.
I hope I will be forgiven, but here you go ( that's not my recording, just sharing as its quality is real good): ruclips.net/video/Q2veB66Zvmc/видео.html
I couldn't be more devastated I've literally just found these guys online, fell in love and missed there last concert. the emotions I feel when listening to them are unreal. what a band!! thank you runrig 🏴🏴
Jamie Mcmillan, glad you found them. Unfortunate that yiuve only just found them. Went to the final gig last night in Stirling - there wasn't a dry eye in the house 😭
Alan Willis not stopped listening to these guys class acts, only found out there last gig a night before. I could imagine Alan especially loch lomond what a heart and soul of a song 🏴
Runrig kept Scotland alive, while the bbc / British establishment were trying to finish us off. This short piece by bbc ‘Scotland’ did not do justice to the huge impact Runrig have had on the virtually underground movement of Scottish language and culture.
Awww - look at you , all trying to be edgy and shit. It's an excerpt of a 6 o'clock news programme, not a fucking documentary, you mong.
thank you, runrig, thank you donnie munro, thank you bruce guthro...i got a tear in me eye
Song name from their song with the Timpanis, please?

Love it! Reminds me of one concert I went to where Bruce said he hadn't got a clue what he was singing in the Gaelic songs.
Lol love the honesty and to be fair I've sang along to many gaelic lyrics and hadn't a clue either...
Awesome!!
Just awesome.
Did not mean to dislike ,, Just wanted to know what Disliked
Loved the drumming so good
Still to this day that performance was abosolutly mindblowing.. I have been lucky enough to power Heb Celt since it began and met Runrig and other great performers many times,, BUT nothing does it better when home grown talent does it good and always returns to islands where it started.. PS. And yes i agree What a drummer iain bayne is He is world class.
one of the classics brilliant live
Nothing better to work out to! 👌❤
chuttttteeee
Awesomeness!
Beautiful! You know, watching those streets it reminded me so much of Argentina, and all the things we have in common with Italy. Greeting from the other side of the Atlantic.
Endgeil!
I have so many of their CD's. A great band. I wish they would come to LA or California anywhere!
Yes! If only... Hi from LA here! ^__^
nice work! likewise, do you want to try taking interest on song cooperations using Bandhub ;) I some times can play guitar -- Both of us might unite soon! That should be excellent!
